Tenerife is the most popular of the Canary Islands which lie off the west coast of Africa and boast the best climate in the world, with average temp 20 to 29 deg C throughout the year.
With very little rainful, and plenty of glorious sunshine all year no wonder Tenerife is the top holiday destination. The southern resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are the perfect holiday destinations. They have fantastic beaches, warm clean sea, water parks, great walking, great restaurants and entertainment venues to suit all.

Tenerife also offers top facilities for sport enthusiasts, with 4 top golf courses near to the main resorts, scuba diving, fishing, walking etc. Mt Teide with its spectacular lunar landscape offers an interesting day trip to the National Park (world heritage ) or in a cable car to the peak of the volcano(3718m). There are whales and dolphins off the coast of Los Cristianos with trips from Los Cristianos harbour (see Scott) In the north of the island are a vast array of vineyards producing some excellent wines, a trip to the Baranda Wine tasting centre and museum is worth a visit if you are a fan of wines! Puerto de la Cruz has a fantastic zoo Loro Park well worth a visit, and a lovely town. And for a taste of old canarian architecture visit La Laguna in the north of the island.
